GP's in High School Program

Students often have health and wellbeing issues that are unaddressed for various reasons including inability or unwillingness to access health services (due to location or time).

All Ways Healthcare identified these issues with Mount View High School and decided to enter a joint venture to remove barriers. All Ways Healthcare works collaboratively with Mount View High School to host a GP Clinic at the school, where students are seen for general health concerns, and improving their health and education outcomes.

Clinics operate every Wednesday during the school term with a GP and Practice Nurse in attendance. The program also aims to generate student ownership of their personal health and healthcare. All Ways Healthcare and Mount View High School aim to achieve this by enabling students to become holistic adults prepared for life outside of school with a focus on their physical health, mental health and general wellbeing.

The GP in Schools Program also supports the aims of the Cessnock Healthy Lifestyles Network.
